The coordinating school (CEIP Dr. Juan Negrín, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain)  is a unit of a primary school (about 425 students). It is located in the suburbs of the city close to “La Laja” beach. The school itself is a public school employing high-quality staff. Except for the core curriculum subjects, there are plenty of additional classes and after-school activities that are supposed to help pupils develop their interests or give opportunity to improve the skills they are weak at. We are willing to take part in the Erasmus+ project to enable students develop their social and communication skills with their peers from other European countries. We wish to coordinate the project well and participate actively in all activities. As a result, we will all gain knowledge and experience in intercultural and international cooperation. The meetings, the exchange of ideas or points of view, tasks and conclusions will surely help students overcome the language barrier so common among pupils. The project itself should trigger motivation to learn foreign languages, overcome the fear of speaking English and open students' minds to other people and cultures. Hopefully, it may influence students' will to express themselves and to investigate the unknown. It undoubtedly will bring new challenge to our school as we have never coordinated such a project before.

Our school has developed a sustainability project during the last 4 years. The students classify and collect all the waste in separate bins. They also make crafts with recycled in all the levels and they make every year a mock up city with recycled materials too.
All the teachers are planning their subjects including methods to develop pupils' basic skills and to work cooperatively. We also have a CLIL project since 2007 where teachers teach Arts in English.
The coordinator of the project has participated in a School Partnership between schools in the Comenius Project during 2012 and 2013. In that project he met the actual partners from Poland and Finland. The coordinator also participated in a job shadowing with a Finnish school with the Comenius project in 2013.
The coordinator is the current Director of Studies of the school and he can manage the new technologies of information and communication with skill, he speaks English fluently and he has organised regional relevant sport events.
We also count with a teacher with skill in online community manager who will manage all the aspects related to social networks.
In our staff we also have an English teacher who every year develop a task with pupils consisting in a mock up city built with recycled materials, this teacher also develops a project in the school related to pupils' creativity.
We have a teacher in charge of a small but pretty and useful vegetable garden where we grow vegetables with our students.
We also have a teacher who coordinates the sustainability project and she shares responsibilities among the students who work cooperatively.
Finally, we count with a general staff very involved and hope with this project idea. The big majority want to participate and to collaborate in the project.
